Company Overview:
Sharp and Carter, a reputable firm in the banking and financial services sector, seeks an exceptional leader to spearhead its risk and compliance initiatives.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of regulatory frameworks, strong analytical skills, and excellent communication abilities. With a focus on ensuring adherence to Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL) conditions, this role is pivotal in maintaining the company's reputation and integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of the Risk Management Framework, ensuring proactive management of risks across the organization.
- Maintain and update risk, compliance, and regulatory documentation, guaranteeing accuracy and timeliness.
- Facilitate risk and compliance committee meetings, providing comprehensive agendas and minutes.
- Serve as Company Secretary for AFSL licensee meetings, liaising with authorities such as ASIC, APRA, AUSTRAC, and OAIC.
- Act as Compliance Officer, Privacy Officer, and AML/CTF Officer, conducting regular staff training on risk and regulatory topics.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in law, finance, or economics with 8-10 years of industry experience within a leading bank or investment/private credit provider.
- Expertise in regulatory frameworks, strong analytical skills, professional communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong business acumen, collaborative teamwork skills, and self-motivation.
Compensation Package:
We offer a competitive salary of $250,000 per annum, reflecting the importance of this role in driving our company's success.
