As a Claims Officer, you will be responsible for managing residential building insurance claims from lodgement to resolution.
Key responsibilities include making decisions on claims within your authority, providing policy advice and arranging cover as needed, preparing and delivering clear written communications to policyholders, tracking claim progress, and responding to incoming correspondence and maintaining accurate records.
This role requires a collaborative can-do attitude with a sense of humour. You will also need strong analytical skills and the ability to work within legislative and policy frameworks, as well as confidence in quickly learning new systems and processes.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in end-to-end claims management, ideally in property insurance, excellent communication skills both written and verbal, and a professional efficient approach to handling inquiries.
About the Role:
- Manage residential building insurance claims from lodgement to resolution
- Make decisions on claims within your authority
- Provide policy advice and arrange cover as needed
- Prepare and deliver clear written communications to policyholders
- Track claim progress including follow-ups and task management
- Respond to incoming correspondence and maintain accurate records
