About this Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee a portfolio of residential jobs, ranging from storm repairs to partial rebuilds and everything in between.

This role involves balancing multiple moving pieces, solving problems, and delivering consistent quality results at scale.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the process end-to-end, with experience in estimating required due to being our first project manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee multiple residential projects from assessment to completion.
  • Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to deliver top-quality work.
  • Keep projects on schedule and within budget, while maintaining high standards.
  • Be the main point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and trust.
  • Handle challenges as they arise, solving problems before they become issues.
  • Keep financials in check, ensuring invoicing aligns with project goals.
  • Manage documentation, scope changes, and variations.
  • Resolve onsite issues and keep stakeholders informed.
About You

You'll thrive in this role if you have:

  • 5+ years of experience supervising residential (and/or commercial) construction in the insurance industry.
  • Experience in estimating as part of your previous roles.
  • Trade certification (Cert III) preferred, with Cert IV or Diploma in Building & Construction a plus.
  • A strong understanding of Australian Standards, the Building Act, and compliance requirements.
  • Exceptional time management skills; juggling multiple projects at once.
  • Leadership experience; managing teams, subcontractors, and complex builds.
  • A customer-focused approach; professional, approachable, and confident with clients.
  • A proactive mindset; taking ownership, solving problems, and keeping projects moving.
