Senior Officer, Tenders Job Summary

This role is for a highly skilled and experienced professional to manage competitive tenders and grants awards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the application, submission, central administration, and management of competitive tenders and grants awards.
  • Support faculties and research teams to develop tender or grant applications by providing guidance on proposal writing, formatting, and adherence to funding agency requirements.
  • Review and provide feedback on tender and grant proposals to ensure clarity, accuracy, and compliance with grant award guidelines.
  • Assist in the administration of awarded tenders and grants, including progress updates and reporting.
  • Evaluate and improve the effectiveness of tender and grant application and administration processes by staying up-to-date on trends and best practices in research funding, tender, and grant writing, and tender and grant management.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • A degree with subsequent relevant experience; or
  • Extensive experience and specialist knowledge or broad knowledge in technical or administrative fields; or
  • An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a busy, complex, administrative environment as part of a hardworking and collaborative team.
  • Experience interpreting policies, guidelines, and procedures, reviewing and editing documentation against eligibility requirements, and providing clear, concise advice or constructive feedback to clients.
  • Experience in the use of research or other comparable databases and a high level of competence in using standard office computing applications.
