Overview

Take on a pivotal role supporting Swinburne's research excellence by managing ARC and government grant portfolios. As Manager, Research Grants (ARC Portfolio), you will have oversight of major grant schemes from application to acquittal, provide expert guidance to researchers, and drive improvements in grant administration. About You
  • Demonstrated experience in reviewing, advising on and assisting in the development of research funding applications, preferably for ARC schemes.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide high quality advice on post-award grant issues, including the interpretation and review of complex documentation such as funding guidelines and agreements, and the application of policies, procedures and guidelines, preferably for ARC grant awards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to draft correspondence, reports, guidelines and information guides, and convey complex information or strategic advice to a high level of clarity.
  • An ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with a variety of key stakeholders including external funding bodies, researchers and research leadership.
  • High-level conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications
  • Postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education and training.
