Senior Research Grant Specialist

The Research Office provides support to La Trobe University researchers and facilitates excellent research outcomes.
The office offers accurate and consistent advice and reporting, as well as flexible and efficient client services.
The Research Development and Grants Team oversees research development and grant funding for the university.
The team partners with researchers across campuses and school management to develop strategies and initiatives.
The Senior Grants Advisor will implement a successful funding strategy by partnering with Associate Deans.
They will be a subject matter expert on Category 1 schemes, especially ARC, NHMRC and MRFF schemes.
They will provide expertise and guidance to the research community, members of the Research Development and Grants team and Senior Executives.
Skill Requirements
- A relevant postgraduate degree or extensive professional experience in research administration.
- Demonstrated track record in working with researchers to develop successful category 1 schemes.
- Extensive knowledge of Australian competitive grant schemes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
