Job Title: Midwifery Patient Safety Lead

As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening the safety and quality culture across maternity services in Western Sydney.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead clinical governance principles, building capacity and empowering clinicians to improve systems and outcomes.
  • Shape policy and procedure development, ensuring alignment with evidence-based best practice and NSW Health standards.
  • Drive patient safety initiatives, using data analysis and risk identification to inform decisions and support clinical excellence.
  • Collaborate strategically with internal and external stakeholders to promote consistent and high-quality care.
  • Support staff through change management, audit processes, and continuous improvement efforts.

Requirements:

  • Registration as a Registered Midwife with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia.
  • Extensive clinical and management experience in maternity environment or postgraduate qualifications at masters level in specialisation or equivalent work experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in quality, safety, and clinical risk management within complex/acute maternity environment.
