About the Role

As the Estimating Manager at Marble, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the estimating function, from bid development to contract award. You will lead and mentor a team of estimators, ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of competitive bids across a diverse portfolio of major infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a high-performing estimating team, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented culture.
  • Develop and implement efficient estimating processes and systems to enhance productivity and accuracy.
  • Prepare comprehensive and competitive bids, including quantity take-offs, cost analysis, and risk assessment.
  • Collaborate closely with operations, project management, and engineering teams to gather essential project information.
  • Evaluate subcontractor bids and negotiate optimal pricing to maximise project profitability.
  • Maintain a strong focus on quality and accuracy in all estimating deliverables.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving measures and process improvements.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the estimating team, fostering professional development and growth.

Requirements

  • Proven track record in civil construction estimating, with a minimum of 10 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in estimating software and tools.
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
