Fetch is a leading provider of construction services, specializing in high-spec commercial projects for government, education, and social infrastructure clients.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join our preconstruction team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for running tenders with a high degree of independence, typically valued at $10m+.
Key Responsibilities
- Select and engage subcontractors, issue tender documentation, and manage the tender process.
- Attend client briefings and site inspections to ensure accurate project understanding.
- Source best rates from suppliers and negotiate contracts.
- Prepare scopes of work, take off quantities, and create rated bills.
- Submit requests for clarification during the tender process and chase up subcontractor pricing.
- Compare and follow up on quotations received, and assist in preparing tender submission documentation.
- Attend tender review meetings with the management team and provide further information as requested.
- Prepare cost plan budgets from early concept stage drawings and assist in the valuation of variations.
- Carry out value management cost-saving exercises and provide clarifications during the project.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will have a solid background in estimating within a commercial builder, gained over several years. You will have good knowledge of commercial building methodology and the ability to interpret building plans and specifications.
