About This Role

As a Social Care Assistant, you will play a key role in promoting the wellbeing, inclusion and enjoyment of our residents. Your primary responsibility will be to facilitate individual, group and community-based lifestyle activities that cater to the physical, social, cultural and spiritual needs of our residents.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Document Resident Profiles: Document resident profiles and assist in developing, implementing and evaluating individual care plans.
  • Lifestyle Activities: Contribute to the planning, coordination and delivery of group and individual activities such as workshops, events and outings.
  • Resource Management: Maintain and manage resources for the activities program, ensuring they are up-to-date and relevant to the residents' needs.
  • Communication: Prepare and distribute newsletters, activity notices and related correspondence to keep residents and their families informed about upcoming events and activities.
  • Volunteer Coordination: Support the Social Care Co-ordinator and General Manager in coordinating and supervising volunteers who participate in the activities program.
  • Other Duties: Perform other duties as directed by the organisation that align with your skills and abilities.
