We are seeking individuals who share our passion for supporting student wellbeing, cultural diversity and community building. This is a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people.

Our Security Officers play a vital role in ensuring students feel welcome, supported and safe in their living environment. This position involves pastoral care, student engagement and wellbeing support.

As a member of our team, you will provide calm, capable and compassionate support to students from diverse backgrounds. Your work will involve engaging with students, monitoring the environment, and liaising with site partners and university services.

This is an ideal role for those open to working overnight shifts on a casual basis.

Key Responsibilities:

- Building positive relationships with students through friendly engagement

- Providing after-hours support and responding to wellbeing concerns

- Conducting presence-based walkthroughs (not enforcement or surveillance)

- Assisting with student lockouts, enquiries or amenity access

- Coordinating with emergency or security services where needed

- Logging incidents and updates in reporting systems

- Supporting the delivery of engagement and community-building initiatives

- Liaising with university staff and residential life teams

What We're Looking For:

- Experience in Allied Health, Education, Community Services or Student Accommodation

- TAS Security License

- Current First Aid & CPR certification

- Current Working with Vulnerable People Check
