High Voltage Designers play a crucial role in connecting electricity generators through our transmission network to the distribution network that power homes and businesses.
The Opportunity- We are seeking an experienced High Voltage Designer to perform and review designs in accordance with Australian and IEC standards, as well as technical requirements.
- You will be responsible for completing detailed design calculations including short circuit forces, conductor sizing, lighting and lightning protection studies.
- Your expertise will help implement innovative design solutions to meet project and business needs.
- Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline is essential.
- Extensive experience in high voltage design across all functional areas of transmission network substations is required.
- You will need specialised expertise in a range of technical processes and procedures related to substation design.
- Skilled in completing and reviewing project designs in collaboration with external consultants.
- Proficient in engineering business systems and design software, preferably Bentley ProjectWise and MicroStation.
