Job Overview

The Work Health and Safety Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring organisational compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and codes of practice. This position utilises data insights to identify trends, improve safety outcomes, and foster a safe, engaged workforce.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement WHS strategies aligned with the organisation's strategic goals and values
  • Provide expert counsel to executive leadership on WHS best practices and risk priorities
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure WHS is embedded into strategic and operational planning
  • Oversee workers' compensation claims and early intervention processes
  • Accountable for regular site audits and safety inspections to ensure facility compliance with WHS standards
Qualifications and Experience
  • Proven strategic acumen and systems thinking to develop WHS strategies and frameworks
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a WHS leadership role and previous enterprise responsibility is preferred
  • Demonstrated understanding of WHS and Workers' Compensation legislation
