Job Overview

The Work Health and Safety (WHS) Manager role requires a strategic leader to ensure organisational compliance with all relevant WHS legislation, regulations and codes of practice.


Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Lead WHS Strategies:
  • Provide expert counsel to executive leadership on WHS best practice, risk and other WHS priorities.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to embed WHS into strategic and operational planning.
  • Oversee workers' compensation claims and early intervention processes.
  • Conduct regular site audits and safety inspections to ensure facility compliance with WHS standards and building codes.
  • Lead the development, review and implementation of WHS policies, procedures, systems and frameworks across the organisation.
  • Ensure policies and procedures reflect best practice and are inclusive of staff, volunteers, clients and contractors.
  • Undertake appropriate WHS training and comply with best practice and policies.
