Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Despatch Operator to join our team in Sorell. In this specialist role, you'll play a key part in ensuring accurate bird processing, contributing to the overall success of our operations.
If you are self-motivated, can work independently, and have strong attention to detail, this is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a supportive, fast-paced environment.
Hours of Work:
- Shift starts 4am onwards (Monday to Friday)
- Shift times vary from 8 hrs to 10 hrs with potential overtime
- Availability to work 38hrs + overtime
- Weekend work and public holidays availability required

Daily Tasks
- Ensuring accurate bird processing and despatch operations
- Operating handheld scanners for inventory management
- Lifting 12-15 kgs repetitively throughout the shift
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation
- Following health, safety, and quality procedures
You Will Bring to This Role
- Forklift license (high reach forklifts experience will be given preference)
- Handheld scanner experience or familiarity preferred
- A commitment to health, safety, and quality in the workplace
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail and a focus on accuracy
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic
- A willingness to learn and adapt to new processes
- Basic computer skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work with numbers and maintain accurate records
- Effective time management and ability to meet deadlines
