As an established organisation, my client is looking for an experienced Payroll Officer to join their team for a 3-6 months temporary role and subject to extension. The role is to be based in their Chatswood NSW 2067 office. There is work from home flexibility - 2 days per week and limited onsite parking but there is street parking available.

As an established organisation, my client is looking for an experienced Payroll Officer to join their team for a 3-6 months temporary role and subject to extension. The role is to be based in their Chatswood NSW 2067 office. There is work from home flexibility - 2 days per week and limited onsite parking but there is street parking available.

The role is ideal for someone who has great exposure across end to end Payroll functions where they have worked in a high volume environment and able to interpret a range of awards and Micropay and ELMO system experience is highly desirable but not mandatory - as long as you have experience in tier 1 payroll systems is acceptable. There are 450 employees on a weekly and monthly basis.

About The Opportunity / Responsibilities

Reporting to a nurturing Payroll Manager; you are responsible for

• Timely and accurate processing of payroll on a weekly / monthly basis.
• Manage and update the everyday running of the payroll system.
• Entering and uploading timesheets.
• Uploading / Entering Weekly and Monthly payroll journals into the accounting packages across the business.
• Processing / lodging of Monthly Superannuation, redundancy, Income Protection etc.
• Staying up to date with the EBA and new legislation.
• Review and respond to payroll queries.
• Assist with monthly employee reporting.
• Supporting the Payroll Manager as required.
  
  

Ideal Profile

This Opportunity Is For Someone Who Has Experience Within An End To End Payroll Function In a Large Volume Environment. You Will Also Bring

• Proven experience in an end to end payroll function; 2-5 years experience
• Prior work in a high volume fast paced environment would be beneficial i.e 400-500 employees
• Strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation and compliance alongside award interpretation
• Intermediate excel skills are preferred
• Prior experience in Micropay or ELMO is highly desirable but not mandatory
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment
• Able to work independently and in a team environment
  
  

Benefits

• 3-6 months temporary role (subject to extension)
• Immediate start but open to someone who has short notice period
• $40.00 - $48.00 + Super (Based on experience) (Can go slightly higher based on experience and if they tick all the boxes)
• Chatswood NSW 2067
• Onsite/Street parking available
• 2 days work from home - Thursdays and Fridays
