Job Title: Pre-Training and Assessment Officer

The role of a Pre-Training and Assessment Officer is pivotal in the booking, management, and completion of pre-training assessments. This individual assesses student skill levels under the Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF) and determines the best pathway for the student.

Key Responsibilities:

\
  • Conduct initial client interviews and document pre-training assessments, ensuring all assessments meet the Training and Assessment Strategy and Program requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records administration to ensure compliance with ASQA and SEE contractual requirements.
  • Record and maintain accurate client information in learner portfolios/files and data systems.
  • Demonstrate flexibility with levels, student cohorts, and delivery focus to maintain a student-centred approach.

About You:

  • Experience working with diverse learners, including those who are disadvantaged.
  • Strong planning, organisation, and administration skills, with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including Word, Excel, Access, Internet, and Email.

Qualifications:

\
  • Hold a current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE).
  • Possess a Diploma or higher-level qualification in Adult Education.
  • Have sound knowledge of the Australian Core Skills Framework and the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector.
