About the Role

The Flinders University is seeking an Academic Leader to take a lead role in developing, managing and implementing research and evaluation projects in Rural and Remote Health. The successful candidate will be appointed to either the Level C or Level D position, with a salary of $134,362 - $177,451 p.a., exclusive of 17% Super.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To develop, manage and implement research and evaluation projects that align with the University's research strengths in rural and remote health.
  • To provide leadership in the planning, implementation and monitoring of Rural and Remote Health Research initiatives.
  • To build the research capability of Advanced Studies and Higher Degree Research students, and junior research staff, including direct supervision and line management.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Completion of a PhD or equivalent in medicine, nursing, allied health, public health or remote health.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading research and evaluation programs and strategy development effectively.
  • An outstanding research track record in an area aligned with research strengths in rural and remote health.
  • Significant experience in a senior academic or research leadership position with relevant Research Project management experience.
