Role DetailsWe are seeking applications for a Mental Health Clinician to join the Acute Care Team on a permanent basis.
The position will be based in Mackay as part of the Acute Care Team. The position will provide Intake/triage, assessment and crisis management functions as part of the Mackay Division of Mental Health Acute Care Team.
The position works all shifts (morning, afternoon and night) with varied roster 7 days a week.
About The TeamThe Acute Care Team is the first point of contact to public mental health services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The team undertakes triage and may facilitate the referral of the consumer to a more appropriate internal and/or external service.
About Our DistrictMackay Hospital and Health Service has 6 hospitals, 2 multi-purpose health services and 4 community health centres that employ over 3700 staff.
The district covers an area of approximately 90000km2 and provides services to patients and their families in various locations.
