About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hotel Operations Manager to join our team at NOVOTEL. As a key member of our Front Office Team, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our guests receive an exceptional experience during their stay.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and support the Front Office Team to ensure that guest expectations are consistently met.
  • Take charge of hotel operations in the absence of the General Manager, demonstrating strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Lead by example in providing outstanding service to guests, fostering a positive and productive atmosphere.
  • Initiate proactive measures to enhance guest interactions, guaranteeing a memorable experience.
  • Handle guest requests, inquiries, and complaints with professionalism and promptness.
  • Ensure adherence to agreed standards for Front Office procedures.
  • Oversee and coordinate arrivals and departures, including special guests and VIPs.
  • Assist with check-in and check-out processes, maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
  • Guarantee the health and safety of all patrons, guests, and staff members.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of full-time experience in a Front Office role is preferred.
  • Tertiary qualification in Hospitality Management or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven ability to effectively lead and develop your team.
  • Excellent questioning and listening skills to resolve problems and address complaints.
  • Strong time management and multitasking abilities.
  • High security awareness and a results-driven approach to performance.
  • Familiarity with Fidelio or Opera PMS systems.
  • Unrestricted work rights in Australia.
  • Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
