Payroll Operations Leader

At our organization, we are seeking a skilled and experienced payroll professional to lead our payroll team at our head office. As Payroll Operations Leader, you will be responsible for processing payroll, providing backup support during absences, supervising end-to-end payroll processing, creating and maintaining payroll reports, and preparing monthly payroll journals.
About the Role
As a key member of our finance team, you will have a comprehensive understanding of modern awards and payroll legislation, including interpreting relevant laws and regulations. You will possess strong communication, organizational, and planning skills, with experience in leading and guiding a team. Proficiency in payroll and time & attendance systems is preferred, as well as advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities of this role include:
- Leading and guiding the payroll team.
- Processing payroll as required and providing backup support during absences.
- Supervising and coordinating end-to-end payroll processing.
- Creating and maintaining payroll reports for management, finance, and other relevant departments.
- Preparing monthly payroll journals.
Requirements
This role requires:
- Australia work authorization.
- Availability to work Monday to Friday.
- Ability to work in person at our head office.
