Payroll Team Leader Position Overview

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee end-to-end payroll operations with accuracy and compliance, ensuring seamless service delivery across Australia and New Zealand.
  • Lead and mentor Payroll Officers, fostering their growth and success within the team.
  • Manage payroll month-end and year-end processes, including reconciliations and audit requirements.
  • Drive process improvements and collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Provide expert guidance on relevant legislation, awards, and company policies.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in end-to-end payroll within complex, high-volume environments.
  • Deep understanding of payroll legislation and awards.
  • Proficiency in enterprise payroll systems such as Workday or Ento.
  • Advanced Excel skills and ability to work with complex spreadsheets.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A proactive mindset with a passion for accuracy, continuous improvement, and teamwork.
