Job Title: Road Construction Laborer with CDL Class A or B

In this role, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment on local, state, and interstate highways throughout the country.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Equipment Operation: Operate CDL equipment safely and efficiently on various road types.
  • Maintenance Checks: Perform pre/post vehicle and equipment inspections to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met.
  • Teamwork: Communicate effectively with your team members to ensure smooth daily operations and achieve project goals.
  • Independence: Work independently with minimal supervision once trained and comfortable with job responsibilities.
  • Interactions: Interact occasionally with inspectors, engineers, and DOT personnel to discuss project progress and address any concerns.
Key Qualifications:
  • CDL Requirements: Possess a valid Class A or B CDL with an acceptable driving record.
  • Mechanical Skills: Demonstrate proven mechanical troubleshooting skills and ability to maintain equipment.
  • Safety Knowledge: Show knowledge of safety practices related to heavy equipment operation and adhere to job-specific protocols.
  • Attention to Detail: Display strong attention to detail and ability to read a tape measure accurately.
  • Tool Proficiency: Familiarity with hand and power tools is essential for this role.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift 60 pounds or more and work long shifts (8-14 hours/day) in varying weather conditions.
  • Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel extensively across the U.S. with overnight stays.
