About the Role

We are seeking an experienced APS 5 Recruitment Specialist to join our People Branch, supporting the department to achieve its strategic outcomes by providing client-focused advice and essential services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage end-to-end APS recruitment processes, including advertising and managing recruitment consultations with business areas.
  • Facilitate recruitment strategies, policies, and continuous improvement of processes, systems, and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and APS policy and practices.
  • Contribute to the development of recruitment material, including guidance documents, SOPs, templates, and intranet content.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Team, including supporting managers and team members.
Requirements
  • Experience in managing end-to-end APS recruitment as part of an in-house recruitment function serving internal stakeholders.
  • Understanding of the Public Service Act, APS Commissioner's Directions, and other relevant restrictions and guidelines that relate to APS recruitment.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize workloads and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders.
