About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Accounts Receivable Officer to join our growing financial team at Uniting AgeWell on a permanent Full Time basis.

As an Accounts Receivable Officer, you will be responsible for a range of various Accounts Receivable related duties including:

  • Performing AR related duties in accordance with the cyclical calendar for processing
  • Setting up complete and accurate debtor records
  • Providing accurate accounts receivable data when requested
  • Ensuring resident and client fees and charges information is accurately updated in a timely manner
  • Ensuring resident and client fees and charges are reconciled and variances are investigated and resolved
  • Undertaking accurate and timely resident and client billing and refunds
  • Ensuring fees and charges are in accordance with contractual, policy and legislative guidelines
  • Regularly monitoring the completeness and accuracy of all records and master files, as they relate to AR
  • Responding to enquiries from residents and clients, and facility/managers and staff in a timely manner
  • Maintaining knowledge of relevant changes to Aged Care legislation and Retirement Villages legislation and implementing any necessary changes to procedures

  • Have experience in the health or aged care sector (preferred)
  • Have expertise in accounts receivable, debt collection and general finance administration
  • Have experience and expertise in timely and accurate accounting service delivery
  • Are familiar with accounting packages
  • Have expertise in a range of accounting tasks, particularly accounts receivable
  • Excel in written and verbal communication skills with a diverse range of people, including older people or those who have disabilities
  • Have intermediate Microsoft Excel and Word skills
  • Excel in customer service skills with ability to communicate with all levels of users
  • Thrives in a team environment and appreciates one-to-one interactions

Essential Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential requirements:

  • A current Working With Children Check card
  • Current and ongoing flu and COVID-19 vaccinations
  • Australian working rights
  • The ability to pass a national police clearance and NDIS Clearance
Salary

The estimated salary for this position is $65,000 - $75,000 per annum, depending on experience.
