We are seeking a highly skilled Data Centre Operations Specialist to join our team at Westpac. As a critical member of our operations team, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our data centre.

About the Role

">

This is a 24 x 7 shift worker role working in a critical tier 3 data centre as part of an operations team that is dedicated to our clients' success. You will work on average 38 hours per week with an attractive shift roster and excellent remuneration package.

Your Key Responsibilities

">
  • ">
  • Manage site operations to ensure no unplanned downtime of critical building services">
  • Monitor and operate all building systems and plant">
  • Manage contractors onsite including inductions, permit issuing, SWMS reviews and ensuring compliance with qualifications, WHS, environmental and all other statutory obligations">
  • Carry out complex switching operations">
  • Isolate equipment to create a safe work environment using strict lockout / tagout procedures">
  • Carry out load reviews">
  • Reporting functions">
  • Review and develop processes">
  • Ensure building adheres to all statutory compliance">

  • Educational background in electrical or HVAC trade qualification">
  • Excellent fault-finding ability">
  • Ability to operate under pressure">
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces">
  • Data centre experience or working in critical environments">
  • A thorough knowledge, understanding of and adherence to safety systems and regulations">
  • Good computer skills & competence in Microsoft Office suite of products">

As a Data Centre Operations Specialist with Westpac, you can expect a competitive salary of around $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on your experience.
