Job Title: Senior Clinical or Forensic Psychologist Position

Eligibility: Open to Everyone

We have an exciting opportunity for a senior clinical or forensic psychologist to join our mental health team in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS). The successful candidate will provide expert clinical knowledge and interventions in child and adolescent mental health.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality, discipline-specific assessments including the use of standardised psychometric assessment tools and structured clinical interviews to inform opinions and recommendations
  • Develop written opinion reports in a clear and concise manner that is easily understood by consumers and professionals
  • Establish partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal client needs and outcomes
  • Collaborate with consumers to develop individual care/treatment plans using a recovery framework
  • Promote equitable access to services for people from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander backgrounds
  • Act as a consultant and resource person to CAMHS, other agencies, and the community

To be successful in this role you will require:

  • A relevant degree in Psychology or equivalent qualification recognised by the Psychology Board of Australia
  • General registration with the Psychology Board of Australia and endorsement in clinical psychology
  • Approved supervisor status with the Psychology Board of Australia at all levels of supervision
  • The ability to communicate effectively with other professionals
  • The ability to work with a high degree of responsibility and limited supervision
  • Extensive experience in delivering mental health psychology services to children and adolescents
  • Advanced experience in delivering evidence-based clinical modalities relevant to Child and Adolescent Mental Health
