Job Title: Mental Health Specialist
We are seeking a skilled and experienced mental health specialist to join our child and adolescent mental health service in Adelaide. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical care to children, adolescents, and their families with mental health issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, education, counseling, and group work to support consumers with complex child and adolescent mental health issues.
- Consult and liaise with other professional disciplines and non-governmental organizations to support consumer care.
- Use clinical knowledge, skills, and experience to provide direction, support, orientation, and education to other staff members.
- Lead and participate in action research projects, quality improvement activities, and policy development within the practice setting.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A relevant degree/registration/qualification for your respective discipline.
- Extensive clinical experience in the treatment and management of complex child and adolescent mental health issues.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct mental health assessments and therapeutic interventions of a complex nature with children, adolescents with emotional and behavioral difficulties.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to work with individuals and families for positive mental health outcomes and to foster productive working relationships across disciplines.
