
Employee Relations Professional

Key Responsibilities- Employee Relations Management: Manage a caseload of employee relations matters, providing advice, coaching, and investigation support to line leaders and the HR team.
- Investigations: Conduct end-to-end investigations into a range of ER matters, including grievances, bullying, harassment, fraud, and misconduct cases.
- Tribunal Representation: Prepare documents and responses for matters before the Fair Work Commission and other tribunals. Represent the organization at conciliations and dispute matters in the Fair Work Commission and other tribunals.
- Casework Management: Manage complex matters involving ill and injured team members.
- EA Negotiations: Support EA negotiations with employee and union bargaining representatives.
- Training and Coaching: Provide leaders with training, recommendations, coaching, and advice on legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Industry Monitoring: Monitor industry trends, legislative updates, and tribunal decisions to inform proactive, compliant, and effective workplace relations strategies.
- Human Resources Experience: Experience in a human resources generalist or employee relations role in a medium to large-sized organization.
- Investigation Skills: Proven background in managing or supporting investigations into misconduct, grievances, or protected disclosures.
- Communication Skills: Excellent coaching, negotiation, and influencing skills to engage with a wide range of stakeholders.
- ER Knowledge: Sound knowledge and understanding of relevant ER/IR legislation and its application in policy.
- Time Management: Effective time management and ability to manage competing priorities and time-sensitive cases.
- EA Implementation: Previous exposure to the successful implementation of replacement enterprise agreements.
- Employment Law Expertise: Strong understanding of employment law and industrial relations principles.
- Relationship Building: Ability to build relationships with senior leaders and communicate complex information effectively.
- Fast-Paced Environment: Experience working in a fast-paced environment and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Positive Work Culture: Passion about creating a positive work culture and promoting employee engagement.
