Some of the key aspects of this role include:

  • Building video services that scale to large audiences
  • Implementing, designing, delivering, and supporting complex video solutions
  • Helping resolve operational issues, faults, or changes in our Video Streaming and Ad Tech Platforms
Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Broadcast TV, Media technology, and OTT streaming

  • Proficiency in MPEG-DASH, HLS, CMAF, MPEG

  • Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud Architecture and AWS Media Services

  • Experience writing video technical requirements and specifications

  • Expertise in video quality optimisation, including encoding ladders and compression tuning

    • Familiarity with container formats such as MP4 (ISOBMFF) and CMAF, including segmenting, muxing, and stream packaging for live and on-demand delivery

    • Understanding of digital video fundamentals, including compression, distribution formats, and signalling

    • Familiarity with video transport protocols such as RTP, RTMP, SRT, UDP, Zixi, and RIST

    • Familiarity with contribution hardware and signal processing in baseband or ST 2110 workflows

    • Understanding of advertisement insertion workflows and DRM

    • Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Desirable but not essential qualifications include:

  • Experience in IAC (CloudFormation, Terraform, CDK, Python)
