Job Description

We are seeking multiple Alcohol & Drug Clinicians to join our team in Hervey Bay, Fraser Coast Region, with outreach to Bundaberg and the North/South Burnett regions.

As a Clinician, you will deliver evidence-based psychosocial and psychological treatments to help individuals and their families reduce the harms of substance use, improve health, and strengthen social functioning.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Conducting comprehensive client assessments and intakes using standardised tools
  • Developing and delivering tailored treatment plans based on individual needs and readiness for change
  • Providing evidence-based psychological and psychosocial interventions, including motivational interviewing, CBT, and brief interventions
  • Facilitating family and group therapy sessions to support recovery and strengthen relationships
  • Collaborating with community, public-sector, and health service providers to coordinate client care
  • Maintaining accurate clinical records and ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and funding requirements

About You

To succeed in this role, you'll need qualifications in the health, social or behavioural science field and/or extensive AOD training with a minimum Diploma in Alcohol & Drugs.

You'll also have experience working with individuals and families affected by alcohol or other drug issues, and understanding of harm minimisation principles and evidence-based interventions.

Above all, you'll be committed to guiding and supporting people on their recovery journey.
