Job Title: Major Loss Claims ManagerAbout the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Major Loss Claims Manager to join our dynamic team in Adelaide on a permanent full-time basis. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for efficiently managing a diverse portfolio of high-value claims at various stages.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage a diverse portfolio of high-value claims at various stages, ensuring timely resolution and customer satisfaction.
  2. Engage with customers compassionately, explaining the claims process, outcomes, and providing continuous support throughout their claim journey.
  3. Proactively communicate with stakeholders, including assessors, repairers, and suppliers, and provide updates on claims advice, process, next steps, timelines, payment, and settlement.
  4. Identify and deliver effective conflict resolution strategies to minimize customer escalations.
  5. Identify customers experiencing vulnerability and take appropriate action to ensure the customer is supported.
  6. Identify when claims are off track and implement action plans to get claims back on track.
  7. Ensure compliance with all internal policies, procedures, legislative, and external requirements.
Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of proven claims experience.
  • Empathy and compassion to connect with and understand customer needs.
  • Integrity and commitment to exceeding customer expectations.
  • Effective communication skills to build rapport and address complex issues.
  • Tech savvy, with proficiency in computer skills, including professional email etiquette and data accuracy.
  • Time management and attention to detail to excel in managing time and work.

  • Resilience to stay positive and composed in challenging situations.
