Corporate Paralegal Position

This role offers an exciting opportunity to join our team and utilize your skills in corporate governance and advisory services.

We are seeking a highly skilled paralegal to support our Corporate Advisory team based in Sydney or Melbourne. The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

  • Managing company registrations, including public, proprietary, and foreign companies;
  • Maintaining and updating corporate registers for local subsidiaries and foreign-registered companies;
  • Ensuring compliance with the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth);
  • Drafting documents for company changes, including director appointments, share transfers, and deregistrations;
  • Preparing AGM and board of director minutes;
  • Supporting transactional matters, including pre and post-closing documentation;
  • Registering business names;
  • Overseeing ASIC filings and search requests;
  • Conducting legal audits of corporate registers;
  • Providing assistance to local and international offices regarding corporate practices in Australia.

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • At least 3 years' experience in a professional services environment;
  • Previous experience in a corporate paralegal or secretariat role;
  • Knowledge of the ASIC Regulatory portal or lodgement processes;
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and research skills;
  • A commitment to high work standards and strong attention to detail;
  • An ability to manage competing priorities and work flexibility;
  • An ability to demonstrate initiative and proactivity;
  • An ability to develop strong relationships;
  • An ability to work well in a team environment; and
  • A willingness to learn.
