Job Title: Corporate Governance Specialist

This is an exceptional opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our organisation as a Corporate Governance Specialist.

  • This role will report to the Head of Secretariat and assist in managing and running the Company Secretary & Governance function.

The successful candidate will be responsible for administering processes to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory obligations, while promoting efficiency and collaboration between the board and management.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain charters, policies, and corporate records, ensuring adherence to ASIC, APRA, and other legal requirements.
  2. Manage the daily activities related to Director Elections, the Annual General Meeting, and annual reporting, ensuring effective communication with stakeholders.
  3. Oversee the coordination of Board and Board Committee meetings.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years experience in the delivery of company secretarial and governance duties
  • Experience in team management and/or mentoring
  • Knowledge of ASIC, APRA, ACNC and other regulatory and legal requirements an advantage
  • Experience with attending Board and Board Committee meetings and preparation of high quality minutes
  • Qualifications from the Governance Institute of Australia
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
