We are seeking an experienced Resource Coordinator to join our team in Cairns QLD. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating the contracting operations for our Far North Qld Region in asphalt and spray seal operation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effectively plan and coordinate works to ensure time and budgetary objectives are achieved
  • Collaborate with internal team members, locally and regionally, and external customers to ensure effective allocation of resources
  • Review and optimize labour utilisation, plant and equipment maintenance and availability
  • Coordinate and manage subcontractors
  • Coordinate business training
  • Purchasing, payroll, job costing and other admin duties as required
  • HSEQ support for the business

Requirements:

  • Experience in a senior Administration, Scheduling or Coordination role within a similar industry
  • Purchasing, payroll and job costing experience will be highly regarded
  • Ability to establish strong working relationships with contractors, clients and team members
  • Heavy Vehicle and Chain of Responsibility knowledge (desirable)
  • Excellent communication and practical project management skills
  • Experience in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
  • Highly developed computer skills and the ability to learn new systems
