Job Overview

Glen Eira City Council is seeking an experienced Strategic Business Operations Lead to join our team. As a key member of our management group, you will be responsible for driving the success of Glen Eira Leisure (GEL). The role offers a unique opportunity to develop and implement business strategies that align with our organization's goals and objectives.

About the Role

The successful candidate will possess exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve excellence. You will be responsible for overseeing various business functions, including People Development, Risk and Compliance, Innovation, Administration, and Customer Experience.

  • Team Leadership: Oversee the aforementioned teams, fostering a high-performing and collaborative environment that drives results.
  • Strategic Execution: Develop and execute business plans that align with our strategic goals, ensuring seamless integration with overall organizational objectives.
  • Operational Support: Provide critical support to the General Manager of Glen Eira Leisure in day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth and effective facility and service management.
  • Performance Management: Ensure teams meet or exceed key performance indicators (KPIs), drive continuous improvement, and maintain high standards of service and compliance.
  • Standards Development: Continuously enhance team performance, programs, and services to position Glen Eira Leisure as an industry leader.
  • Audit Compliance: Ensure all required audits are conducted promptly, meeting minimum KPIs outlined in the GEL Business Plan, maintaining rigorous standards of accountability and performance.
  • Customer Engagement: Manage dispute resolutions, upholding GEL's Customer Service Charter, providing exceptional service to all stakeholders.

What We Offer

Glen Eira City Council offers a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
