About the Role:

The Glen Eira City Council is seeking an experienced and ambitious individual to fill the position of Swim School Team Leader and Operations Manager. This role offers a unique opportunity to join our team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality swim programs for our community.

Job Description:

In this key leadership position, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the GEL Swim School. Your primary focus will be on managing a team of skilled professionals, ensuring seamless program delivery, and maintaining exceptional customer service standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Assist in training, supervising, and providing guidance to the GEL Swim School team in accordance with centre policies and industry best practices.
  • Roster Management: Collaborate with the GEL Swim School Team Leader to organize and maintain efficient staffing rosters, ensuring adequate coverage at GESAC and CMSP.
  • Service Standards: Work closely with the GEL Swim School Team Leader to maintain Service Improvement Standards in daily operations.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service on pool deck, acting as a liaison between Swim School members and parents.

Requirements:

  • Leadership Experience: Proven experience in a leadership or management role, preferably within the leisure industry.
  • Customer Service Skills: Excellent customer service skills, with a strong ability to build rapport with diverse groups.
  • Communication: Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and external partners.
  • Organizational: Strong organizational and time-management skills, with a focus on prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.

Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this position is $65,000 - $80,000 per annum, based on your qualifications and experience.
