Job Role

A talented senior human resources professional is sought to lead a team of skilled HR specialists and provide high-level guidance on HR matters within a dynamic public service organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice on HR strategy and policy, fostering the growth and development of the organization and its HR team.
  • Offer professional guidance to the executive leadership team and collaborate with key stakeholders across the public sector.
  • Lead a team of qualified HR professionals in delivering complex employee relations and strategic workforce solutions effectively and efficiently.
  • Develop and nurture talent within the HR team, promoting self-sufficiency, motivation, resilience, and empathy.
  • Align with core values of fairness, integrity, and teamwork, contributing to workforce development and capacity enhancement in St Helena as an officer funded through the Technical Co-Operation Programme.
Essential Qualifications
  • Degree-level education or equivalent in HR Management or Organizational Development; CIPD Level 7 or equivalent; Chartered MCIPD or Chartered FCIPD or equivalent.
  • Experience leading HR teams, handling complex employee relations cases, advising on case management, and delivering workforce planning and HR transformation projects across diverse organizations.
