About the Role

We are seeking a Recreation Planning Officer to provide specialist advice and analysis on recreation planning, strategy and policy. The successful candidate will establish and maintain effective partnerships with relevant organisations and internal teams.

Key responsibilities include undertaking community engagement, collecting and analysing data to inform evidence-based planning, strategy and policy development.

About You

To succeed in this role you will have:

  • A tertiary qualification in Sport, Recreation, Planning or a related field.
  • Experience working as a Recreational Planner in local government.
  • Planning experience within local government.
  • Ability to travel within the local region for work.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to lead and deliver successful sport and recreation programs and projects.
