Job OverviewWe are seeking skilled professionals to join our occupational rehabilitation team in Adelaide, SA.In this diverse role, you will have the autonomy to manage your own day, working with a strong and close team of healthcare professionals.You will be responsible for providing occupational rehabilitation services to clients with various conditions, supporting them to achieve return to health and return to work outcomes.Key Responsibilities:
  • Case management, including caseloads that are manageable and supported by Rehabilitation Assistants;
  • Applying clinical knowledge to improve return to work outcomes;
  • Working with employers and employees to develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs;
  • Collaborating with injured workers, employers, medical, and allied health professionals;
  • Working across various schemes, including workers compensation, compulsory third party, life insurance, Comcare, Department of Veteran's Affairs, and employer-funded injury prevention programs;
  • Assisting those with injuries or health conditions to achieve return to health and return to work outcomes;
  • Completing assessments using clinical skills, including initial, workplace, and vocational assessments to review diagnosis, support treatment plans, address psychosocial barriers to employment, and identify suitable employment opportunities for workers who have sustained workplace injuries or injuries sustained from motor vehicle accidents.
Qualifications and SkillsTo succeed in this role, you will require:
  • Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy, Exercise Physiology, Physiotherapy;
  • Full Professional Registration/Accreditation with either AHPRA or ESSA;
  • Previous experience working in Occupational Rehabilitation is highly regarded;
  • Fabulous communication skills, with a focus on building relationships with clients and stakeholders;
  • Compassion, kindness, empathy, and a willingness to make a positive difference in people's lives;
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines;
  • A current valid Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle.
