About the Role

Inverus Group, a leading provider of security, risk management, and resilience consultancy services, is seeking a highly skilled Security Consultant to support the growth of our security consultancy and design business.

The ideal candidate will have experience in delivering security threat, vulnerability, and risk assessments, as well as security policies, plans, and procedures. A technical background, strong project management, and stakeholder liaison skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct security threat, vulnerability, and risk assessments
  • Develop and implement security policies, plans, and procedures
  • Provide security standards and guidelines
  • Conduct security audits and gap analyses

Requirements

  • 10+ years of security management, law enforcement, or military experience; or 7+ years of professional protective security consulting experience
  • A passion for protective security
  • Good business acumen
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong research, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Office 365 skills

Desirable Qualifications

  • Qualifications or certifications in security, counter-terrorism, engineering, management, or IT
  • SCEC Security Zone Consultant Endorsement

Eligibility

Applicants must have the legal right to work in Australia and be eligible to obtain a security consultants or advisors licence/registration in any Australian State or Territory, or an AGSVA National Security Clearance to 'BASELINE' or higher.
