An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Acute Consultant Psychiatrist to join a leading healthcare provider in the UK. This role is based in a low and medium secure hospital, specialising in treating male patients aged 18+ who have been detained under the Mental Health Act.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe assessment, treatment, and discharge of patients. Key responsibilities include medication management, quality assurance, and delivery of NICE guidance. Additionally, the Consultant Psychiatrist will lead and manage the CPA and ICR process to ensure full compliance with quality standards.

Preferred skills and experience include working in psychiatry within multi-disciplinary teams, being in good standing with the Royal College of Psychiatrists, and being accredited or about to be accredited in Forensic psychiatry with the GMC. The successful candidate will also have had an appraisal/RITA within the last year.

The Consultant Psychiatrist will receive an excellent salary up to £160,000 per annum, along with a range of benefits including 25 days annual leave, a Group Personal Pension Plan, and life assurance. The role is a permanent full-time position for 37.5 hours a week.
