Advanced Food Safety Specialist

This role is a fixed-term contract due to maternity leave coverage.
- Ensure quality and food safety systems are followed.
- Ensure the Environmental Monitoring Schedule is adhered to.
- Report any failures in adherence to the QA Manager.
Key Functional Areas:
- Environmental Swabbing and Testing: Conduct swabbing according to schedule and arrange testing with relevant laboratories.
- Assist the Food Technologist in Customer Complaints: investigations, log and report on customer complaints accurately and quickly.
- Ensure all internal non-conformances are logged and accurately described.
Technical day-to-day problem solving and assisting in conducting Customer required Traceability, mock recalls and mass balances.
The ideal candidate will have a science-based degree e.g., B.Tech Food Technology/ BSc Food Science / Biotechnology / Microbiology.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Proactive work ethic.
- Strong attention to detail.
Able to meet deadlines and multitask while maintaining collaborative teamwork.
