Job Description

This role is responsible for driving quality and leading with impact in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. As a Senior Food Safety Specialist, you will champion food safety and drive continuous improvement within the Technical Team.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and embed a strong Food Safety Culture across the business
  • Manage and develop a high-performing QA team
  • Drive training and capability development using our Capability Framework
  • Maintain and enhance our Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Lead external and third-party audits
  • Use data to identify trends, solve problems, and drive lean improvements

About This Opportunity

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 5+ years' experience in a Quality/Technical Manager role within manufacturing, preferably meat processing or FMCG
  • Tertiary qualifications in Food Science or a related field
  • Experience building strong QA teams and driving a positive food safety culture
  • A deep understanding of GFSI standards, import/export requirements, and retail compliance expectations
  • Proven track record leading successful audits
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
