Overview

Costco Wholesale operates a vast network of locations worldwide, with over 875 sites across 14 countries. As part of our commitment to quality, we are seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to join our Buying team.

Position Summary:

You will assist in the assessment and review of imported food products against all applicable regulations for compliance to Australian and New Zealand laws. This role is ideal for a Food Technology/Science graduate passionate about regulatory affairs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review imported food products for compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in the development of compliant artwork/labels.
  • Collaborate with internal Buying teams on matters related to item reviews, regulatory compliance, and food safety requirements.
  • Manage Costco's Food Vendor Assurance Program and liaise with external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate product testing programs, including shelf-life testing and nutritional testing.
  • Support the recall and withdrawal program.
  • Provide support to Compliance and Buying teams for the investigation of product incidents.

Requirements:

This role requires:

  • A degree in Food Science/Technology or a related field.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Suite).
  • 1+ years' experience in a regulatory, compliance, or associated area within the food sector.
  • Understanding of Australian and New Zealand labelling requirements.
