Job Title:

Compliance Specialist

As a Compliance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the compliance of imported food products against Australian and New Zealand regulations. You will work closely with various teams to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.

  • Review and assess imported food products for compliance with Australian and New Zealand regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with Buying teams on matters related to item reviews, regulatory compliance, and food safety requirements.
  • Manage Costco's Food Vendor Assurance Program and liaison with external stakeholders to ensure adherence to food safety expectations.
  • Coordinate product testing programs, including shelf-life testing and nutritional testing.
  • Assist with recall and withdrawal program coordination.
  • Support Compliance and Buying teams during product incident investigations.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Food Science/Technology, Applied Science, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Suite).
  • 1+ years' experience in regulatory, compliance, or associated areas in retail, government, or manufacturing within the food sector.
  • Understanding of Australian and New Zealand labelling requirements.
