Distributor Manager QLD
Role Description:
As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for managing and developing strategic relationships with major distributor customers across Queensland.
You will work closely with the sales team to develop and execute business plans that drive sales volume, gross margin targets, and sustainable growth.
- State-Level Account Management: Manage high-volume Foodservice customers at both state and branch/site levels.
- Frequent face-to-face customer engagement: Travel regularly across Queensland to visit distributor branches and key customer sites, strengthening relationships and driving business results.
- Major account negotiation: Lead commercial negotiations with high-profile customers, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements and sustainable growth.
You will also have responsibility for:
- Developing and implementing sales strategies, business planning, and achieving commercial targets.
- Managing expenses in line with company policy, ensuring prompt and accurate processing of claims.
- Collaborating with National Customer Managers and Field Managers to develop and execute business plans that deliver on sales volume, NSV, and gross margin targets, aligned with annual business strategies.
- Maintaining regular communication with customers and the sales team regarding stock, pricing, claims, and overall performance.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 5+ years' sales experience, ideally within the Foodservice industry, with a proven ability to manage major customer relationships and negotiate high-value deals.
- Demonstrated success in building and sustaining strong customer partnerships through regular in-person engagement.
- Flexibility and motivation to travel frequently across Queensland for face-to-face customer meetings.
- Experience in developing and executing sales strategies, business planning, and achieving commercial targets.
