About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Food & Beverage Supervisor to join our team at the JW Marriott Gold Coast Resort & Spa. As a Food & Beverage Supervisor, you will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day running of In Room Dining, ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service and that our team members are working together effectively to deliver a seamless operation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the management of In Room Dining, including supervising staff, managing inventory, and maintaining high standards of quality and service.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with team members, guests, and other departments to ensure a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Ensure that all staff are working together as a team to deliver exceptional service and that guest needs are met.
  • Inspect grooming and attire of staff, and rectify any deficiencies.
  • Complete opening and closing duties, including setting up necessary supplies and tools, cleaning all equipment and areas, locking doors, etc.
  • Display hands-on leadership and lead by example.
  • Be organized and understand room movements, amenity lists, and other daily priorities to ensure a seamless operation.
  • Communicate effectively with the team so they can perform at their best.
  • Ensure that Talent are working together collaboratively to meet and anticipate guests' needs.
  • Complete scheduled inventories and stock and requisition necessary supplies.
  • Champion brand standards to ensure consistency, quality, and luxury service is delivered to all our guests.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships and identify training needs of the team so they too can develop.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a luxury hotel, preferably in In Room Dining.
  • Experience in a leadership position.
  • Previous experience in food & beverage service, ideally in a hotel environment.
  • Flexible availability, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Has a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with guests and team members.
