Job Description

This role involves working as a Guardian with a NSW Government client in Wollongong, providing dedicated support to individuals under their care. The ideal candidate will possess strong written communication skills, a Bachelor's degree, and experience in NDIS, Aged Care, or iCare.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting visits and engaging with represented individuals to understand their needs, views, and preferences.
  • Providing accurate, empathetic, and timely responses to enquiries from the public, professional staff, and service providers.
  • Making, implementing, and monitoring decisions under delegated authority in line with the Guardianship Act 1987 (NSW).
  • Developing knowledge of local services, community demographics, and support infrastructure.
  • Ensuring effective communication with stakeholders, adhering to privacy and compliance standards.
  • Preparing comprehensive reports for NCAT hearings and representing the organization where required.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree.
  • Strong written communication skills.
  • Experience in NDIS, Aged Care, or iCare preferred.
  • Familiarity with legal proceedings advantageous.
