Payroll and HR Administration Officer

Celotti Workforce is seeking an experienced Payroll and HR Administration Officer to join our team in Coopers Plains, QLD.
About the Role:The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end processing of payroll, including the resolution of employee queries, processing leave requests, and reconciliation of statutory payments.
- Manage and process full end-to-end payroll, including resolving employee queries
- Process leave requests and overtime/allowances calculations, and generate payroll journal and calculation of leave accruals
- Reconcile and lodge all payroll-related statutory payments, including PAYG, Super, Payroll Tax, and WorkCover
- Advise management on payroll-related matters, including updates on payroll legislation and payroll/taxation queries and scenarios
- Assist the finance team with general ledger reconciliation and payroll-related balance sheet accruals, as well as data entry as required
- Provide clerical and administrative support to the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, employee promotions, changes in employee conditions, probation, and terminations
- Maintain HR and employee records, files, registers, and databases, as well as HR forms and templates
- Creation of employment contracts and supplement documents, and contribute to the development and review of HR policies and procedures
- Coordinate induction and mandatory training, and ensure employee training records are maintained
- Assist the HR Manager, including Worker's Compensation
The successful applicant will have high-level skills in payroll and attention to detail with data entry and administration tasks.
- Extensive experience in end-to-end payroll for a medium to large organization
- Minimum 5 years' experience in payroll processing
- Advanced knowledge of relevant employment and statutory legislation, including award interpretation, withholding tax, payroll tax, and PAYG
- Experience with MicroPay would be highly advantageous
- Ability to work well under pressure while providing high-level support to the team
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong level of computer skills, including intermediate-level Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
- Experience with Pronto would be highly regarded
